Contraindications
The following is a list of indications that will make treatment unavailable (absolute contraindications) or require a different patient protocol for treatment (relative contraindications):
Absolute contraindications (disqualifying):
Pacemaker
Defibrillator
Vagus nerve stimulator
VP shunt/ Magnetic shunts
Deep brain stimulator
Epidural cortical stimulator
Steel shunts/stents
Cranial metal fragments (e.g., only shrapnel or other fragments/plates)
Cochlear implant
Aneurysm clips, coils, pipelines flow diversion
Pregnancy or breast-feeding
Primary brain cancer / metastatic legions in the brain (unless palliative care)
Magnetic dental implants
Implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD)
Ocular implants
Relative contraindications (requiring closer attention before the protocol is determined, but not disqualifying):
History of seizure or seizure disorder
Titanium shunts/stents
Spinal cord stimulator
Hearing aids
Ferrous cortical implants
Magnetic ink tattoo
Bipolar disorder, types 1 and 2
Insurance Coverage
At this time we are unable to accept insurance at our clinic, or file it on your behalf. We are happy to provide you with the appropriate paperwork at the end of your treatment period so that you can submit it to your insurance company to see if they will provide any reimbursement. All of our treatments are eligible expenses for Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA), and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
